Zoom Access for UNT Faculty

You can easily launch a ZOOM meeting for one, some, or all of your students,
directly from the navigation menu in your Canvas Course!
- Using your UNT EUID & password, log in to Canvas: https://canvas.unt.edu
- Select the Course for which you are wanting to schedule your ZOOM meeting.
- From the navigation menu on the left, click on “ZOOM.”
To schedule a new meeting for you and your students, click on “Schedule a New Meeting.”
Select the date and time of the meeting.
The “Duration” of the meeting defaults to 1 hour. If you would like a longer meeting, change the “Duration.”
Leave the remaining defaults in place and click “Save.”
The next page provides a summary of your selected meeting options and creates an invitation that will automatically be sent to your students. The invitation will be sent via Canvas email and will show up on the student’s Canvas Calendar.
Click “Zoom” on the navigation menu again and you will be able to see your “Upcoming Meeting” and/or a list of upcoming meetings if you scheduled more than one.
On the day and time you scheduled the meeting, login to Canvas, and again select the course for which you scheduled the meeting. Click on Zoom in the navigation menu, and then click “Start” and your meeting will launch.
- If this is your first time using Zoom in Canvas, you will be asked, this one time, to create a password
