UNT College of Education online master’s programs rise to No. 10 in U.S. News & World Report rankings
DENTON (UNT), Texas — The University of North Texas College of Education online master’s programs are among the nation’s top 10, according to new rankings released by U.S. News & World Report.

The university ranked No. 10 in the nation and No. 2 in Texas on this year’s list of Best Online Master's in Education Programs. Individual education program rankings included No. 13 for UNT’s online master’s in curriculum and instruction and No. 15 for its online master’s in special education. Those programs ranked second and third, respectively, in Texas.

UNT’s College of Education offers seven online master’s-level programs including higher education and special education, in addition to online certification programs in areas such as educational psychology and teacher education and administration.

The online master’s degree in criminal justice (No. 26) and online bachelor’s programs (No. 53) also rose in U.S. News & World Report’s 2021 Best Online Programs. UNT’s online M.B.A. program landed at No. 51 nationally and the university debuted on the list of Best Online M.B.A. Programs for Veterans at No. 30. In Texas, UNT was first on the list of Best Online M.B.A. Programs for Veterans, ranked third for its online bachelor’s programs and fourth for its online M.B.A and online master’s degree in criminal justice.

UNT offers six online bachelor’s programs as well as three online undergraduate certificates including its newest offering in data analytics. Overall, there are more than 80 online program options including bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees and undergraduate and graduate certificates.

Now more than ever, it’s important that we grow our digital capabilities and offer high-quality online programs that can help our students move forward with their educational and career goals,” said Adam Fein, vice president for digital strategy and innovation.

Recently, U.S. News & World Report named UNT as a top 10 destination for transfer students. In Fall 2019, UNT enrolled 4,152 transfer students making it the university with the largest number of new transfer students in Texas and 10th largest in the nation.
